The cafe is conveniently located at the entrance of a beautiful park. There are public toilets available, sponsored by the park. Food quality was average and I'd avoid coffee unless you are only after a caffeine hit.

I was very impressed with the staff, the food and the cleanliness of the cafe / restrooms facility here. In detail the staff were friendly and attentive and the food while not exotic was comforting and well prepared. I had lentil soup, home made, and it was delightful. The portion size was just right. I also had the west of Scotland brunch roll. The square pork slice was cooked perfectly, not overdone, accompanied by a potato scone which I couldn’t have prepared better myself. The roll itself was a typical soft bap probably with preservative. I’d suggest a Morton’s or McGhees instead. Quickly cooked and and delivered. One of the party had some chips. Proper, not frozen or oven, when I enquired I was able to establish that they were in fact double cooked or fried and what a difference. I was reminded of the Peoples Palace at Glasgow Green before they disappeared into oblivion. Finally, the place was spotless in spite of almost every table being occupied to the full. The toilet facilities could have been a nightmare but they were the opposite. Bright, warm and spotless.
